Grupo La Fama Torralba brings over 40 years of experience supplying the global cement and gypsum industries. From its quarries in Almería, Spain, the group extracts more than 4 million tons every year, shipping to clients across Europe, Africa and the Americas. Over 300 vessels are loaded annually, supplying cement plants, plasterboard factories and prefabricated producers worldwide.

Among the purest deposits on Earth
The gypsum deposits of Almería are among the purest and most significant in the world, with reserves estimated to be four times larger than those of the United States. Proximity to the coast gives the group a unique logistical advantage — enabling fast, efficient and sustainable exports. The gypsum is also valued for its ecological qualities, producing no dust pollution during transport.
Ports & logistics
Dedicated port facilities built for scale
Exports run through the ports of Almería, Garrucha and Carboneras, on vessels ranging from 2,000 to 60,000 metric tons. Torralba operates its own dedicated port facilities for gypsum — first developed in the 1950s and expanded from the 1970s onward — enabling specialised handling and large-scale shipping that consolidate the group's position as the global leader in gypsum logistics.
Diversification into agriculture
600+ hectares of citrus through Gestimur
Through its subsidiary Gestimur, Grupo La Fama Torralba manages over 600 hectares of citrus orchards across Almería and Murcia. With a focus on sustainable farming, the group produces oranges and lemons — diversifying its operations while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and sustainability.
